Frequently asked questions
Is granite a good choice for a kitchen worktop?
Granite is hard-wearing and copes well with everyday heat and scratches. It should be sealed when installed and resealed from time to time to protect against stains.
Do I need to seal granite?
Yes. Sealing protects the tiny pores in natural stone. How often depends on the stone and how it is used, so follow the care guidance supplied with your worktop.
Can the worktop include cut-outs for a sink and hob?
Yes. Tell us what you are fitting when you get in touch and we will include the cut-outs.
How do I measure my kitchen?
Sketch your layout, then measure each run of units, including depth and any overhang. Send the sketch with your enquiry and we will confirm the details with you.
Can I put hot pans straight onto granite?
Granite handles heat better than many surfaces, but a trivet is still sensible because sudden extreme heat can damage any stone.
